Mercer University posted an article discussing a recent data breach stemming from a cyberattack that resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access confidential student and faculty information. Based on the university’s official filing, the incident resulted in an unauthorized party gaining access to consumers’ names, Social Security numbers and driver’s license numbers.
