While the answer is still up in the air, the relentless pursuit of knowledge keeps scientists—and the rest of us—on the edge of our seats.

Closer to home, our own solar system continues to amaze us. The Mars rovers, particularly the latest, Perseverance, are uncovering clues about the planet’s past. With each rock sample and soil analysis, we inch closer to understanding whether Mars once harbored life. Meanwhile, missions to Jupiter and its intriguing moons, like Europa, are in the works.
