U.S. WEBSITES HACKED. Hackers takedown 14 U.S. airport websites offline. The websites of major U.S. airports, including those in Atlanta, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, were taken offline during a cyberattack. How did they do it? Simple. Denial-of-service attack. In this case, the servers hosting the airport sites were swamped with thousands of requests, making it all but impossible for travelers to connect and to get updates about their scheduled flights or book airport services.
