No matter what your music taste is, 2019 had something for everyone. From hip-hop to country, there were many artist who released albums that were full of bops and had us surprised. Here are the top 10 most surprisingly awesome albums of 2019:

1. Lizzo – Cuz I Love You

Lizzo’s third studio album was anything but average. The Minneapolis native’s album had a mix of R&B, soul, and rap, and is full of bangers like “Truth Hurts” and “Good as Hell.”

2. Lil Nas X – 7

Lil Nas X’s debut EP was a surprising hit. The 20-year-old rapper who shot to fame with his song “Old Town Road” released an EP with seven songs, all of which are catchy and memorable.

3. Ed Sheeran – No.6 Collaborations Project

Ed Sheeran’s No.6 Collaborations Project was one of the most highly-anticipated albums of 2019. The English singer-songwriter teamed up with some of the biggest names in music, including Justin Bieber, Khalid, and Bruno Mars, for a project that did not disappoint.

4. Ariana Grande – thank u, next

Ariana Grande’s thank u, next was one of the most talked-about albums of the year. The album, which was released just six months after her last album, Sweetener, features the hits “7 rings” and “thank u, next.”
