The Origami Kayak!
By Srinka Datta Roy

You have heard of ‘Jack-in-the-box’, but have you ever heard of a ‘Kayak-in-the-box’? The world’s first Origami kayak is the brainchild of San Francisco based Oru Kayak Inc.

Inspired by the traditional Greenland kayak and by Japanese origami techniques, Oru Kayak is ideal for the adventurous city dwellers. You can carry it in your car, as luggage on a plane, and even in a backpack! Don’t get misled by its compact packaging though. When opened fully, this kayak can accommodate an average adult (as long as you are not a member of the NBA!)

The extremely durable polypropylene material remains intact even after countless unfolding and folding. Don’t be afraid of punctures– this sturdy kayak can withstand quite a few bumps during its journey along the water. Being very lightweight, it is also quite easy to transport; thus ensuring that you don’t get tired out even before your adventure begins!

So take your boat out of your closet and let’s go kayaking!
