Established by Forbes in March, the firm GrayShift promised the governments its GrayKey technology could help decipher the passcodes of the most recent iOS models like the iPhone X. Apple continuously invests in security in earnest and sets up obstruction for Grayshift to jump over. Grayshift secured contracts with immigration and customs enforcement and the secret service.
Apple has put up an unconquerable wall. Many sources well known with the GrayKey tech tells Forbes the device cannot break the passcodes of any iPhone running iOS 12 or above.
Captain John Sherwin of the Rochestor Police Department in Minnesota said, “That’s a fairly accurate assessment as to what we have experienced. Give it time and I am sure a ‘workaround’ will be developed…and then the cycle will repeat. Someone is always building a better mousetrap, whether it’s Apple or someone trying to defeat device security.”
