India’s top public health institute – AIIMS Delhi – came under attack by cybercriminals, crippling health services which the institute provides of tens of thousands of patients. The cyberattack has frozen AIIMS’ e-hospital system – including appointments and registration at outpatient departments (OPD), billing at inpatient departments (IPD), laboratory report generation, and smart lab, among others.
