Dubai wants a quarter of its transportation to be autonomous by the year 2030, which is just one of its aims. The prime minister and vice president of the UAE and also the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid announced plans for a 25 percentage of the journeys to be driverless by the year 2030.
Ari Teman, the co-founder of FutureNYC said, “In the coming years, cars will drop you off and go on their way. Since they are autonomous, they don’t rubberneck. They don’t get into accidents. They don’t stop to chat with a friend. They just go where they’re supposed to go.”
UAE is expecting an automation that will save 396 million hours on transportation trips a year. In the rapidly growing city with a lot of pressure for space. They also observed how it will reduce the spaces which were provided for parking.
