First Farmers Bank & Trust Announces Third-Party Data Breach Involving Vendor’s Use of MOVEit

On August 15, 2023, First Farmers Bank & Trust (“FFBT”) filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine after discovering that an unauthorized party was able to access confidential FFBT customer information through a vulnerability in software used by an FFBT vendor.
