Police report that on October 20, 2025, a construction worker suffered a severe electrical injury while working on the third floor of a building in the 1500 block of Coastal Highway, the site of Dewey Beach’s new Town Hall. According to officials, the worker came into contact with an overhead electrical line while using a concrete float.
