Alps Alpine North America Confirms July 2023 Ransomware Attack Resulted in Data Breach Involving Employee SSNs

On November 28, 2023, Alps Alpine North America, Inc. filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Texas after discovering that the company was the victim of a July 2023 ransomware attack. In this notice, Alps Alpine explains that the incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access employees’ sensitive information, which includes their names, Social Security numbers, addresses, driver’s license numbers and other government-issued identification numbers….
